Rev War Whistle excavated at Site of the Siege of Yorktown

The Whistle is made of pewter with an iron lanyard ring. Still blows!

Whistles were used by Militiamen to signal their troops. each whistle had its own sound. General George Washington used a whistle.. I wish this was his! Maybe?
