Blown glass canteen cover in decorated leather by master artist, Gary Birch, Cincinnati, Ohio  (3 ½” X 6 ¼” X 9 ½”). One of Gary’s finest art pieces and is the only canteen of this type that he ever made. I purchased from Gary at the Jerry Noble show in Indiana in the 1980’s. Gary told me that a Cincinnati glass blower welcomed him into his studio and guided him in making the hand-blown glass bottle.  The leather cover on the blown glass bottle is hand stitched and profusely engraved. One of Gary’s masterpieces!
